Job Title: Technical Site Lead

A highly skilled and experienced Technical Site Lead is required to oversee the technical team at Fresh Kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and legality of our added value high-risk products.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in high-risk product management, preferably in sauces, dressings, cooked rice and pastas, ice creams, sorbets, gelato, mousses, and pickles. A Food Science/Technology degree or equivalent is required, along with a minimum HACCP level 3 certification and Lead Auditor qualification.

This role includes:

  • Ensuring compliance with all necessary legislation, customer codes of practice, and Sysco standards.
  • Preparing for, organizing, and leading site audits by customers, BRC, Local and central government agencies, and internal audits.
  • Managing production technical requirements to ensure product specifications meet customer, legislative, and industry requirements.
  • Logging, investigating, and following up on customer complaints and implementing trend analysis to identify re-occurring issues.
  • Ensuring regular product shelf life and surveillance testing is carried out.
  • Controlling and managing raw material/product specifications and relevant databases.

About the Role:

This is an on-site position based in our Bicester depot with infrequent travel to meet with customers and suppliers. You will be responsible for managing the site Quality team, establishing and managing policies relating to due diligence, product safety, and integrity, and managing GMP and hygiene quality within the production environment.
