Financial Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join our Financial Control and Accounting function at Coatue Management L.L.C. in London.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with our Product and Engineering teams to build and implement financial infrastructure systems and tools that deliver financial information in an automated, scalable, and well-controlled manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions meet finance data, operations, system integration, financial reporting, audit, and control requirements.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current accounting processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with stakeholders to articulate finance requirements, gaps, and inefficiencies through discovery discussions.
- Define and document future state requirements alongside product teams to ensure alignment with accounting policies and best practices on controls.
- Provide feedback and iterate in a fast and agile manner during the development phase.
- Build and execute test and adoption activities for new implementations and ensure minimal disruption to business-as-usual operations.
- Maintain a granular project plan for your workstream, tracked via the PMO.
- 2+ years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting roles, with experience in finance systems transformation.
- Proven track record of working on complex cross-functional technology transformation and implementation projects.
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.
- Experience working in complex, fast-paced agile transformation projects, ideally within a listed environment of a global financial services or payments/fintech organization.
- SME on financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and their integration with GL systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proven track record dealing with multiple stakeholders.
