Community Outreach Officer

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Community Coach to join our team at Forest Green Rovers Football Club.
As a key member of our community team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching sessions to young people across the Stroud district and beyond.
You will work closely with our project coordinators to develop and deliver community-focused initiatives, projects, and programmes that promote participation and love for the sport.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver coaching sessions to children and young people as part of our Premier League Kicks and Premier League Primary Stars programmes.
- Work with schools to deliver sport and educational interventions as part of the Premier League Primary Stars programmes.
- Support the delivery of tournaments/matches, refereeing or managing young people, ensuring that they all receive equal playing time and experience.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with participants, parents, community partners, and other coaching staff.
- Lead coaching at Soccer Camps, providing fun, inclusive, engaging, age-appropriate sessions throughout the day.
- Collect and process data for all programmes.
- Work on match days, providing support to the team and ensuring the welfare of children and vulnerable adults under their supervision.
- A minimum of a Level 2 football coaching badge or Youth Work level 2.
- Experience of working or volunteering within either school, club, or community sporting settings.
- Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate coaching sessions.
- Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced CRB Certificate or Current FA DBS Clearance.
- FA Safeguarding and Emergency aid/BFAS Qualifications.
- Able to work within a team effectively and efficiently and buy-in to the environmental ethos.
- Computer Literate.
- Ability to build relationships with young people.
