About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical care to patients with complex geriatric needs
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Participate in education and training programs for healthcare professionals
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Basic medical degree (MB BS, FRCR, or equivalent)
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • CCT in geriatric medicine or equivalent
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 12 months
Desirable Criteria
  • Higher degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent)
  • Experience in clinical research and publication
  • Leadership and management skills
