We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy support worker to join our cancer pharmacy team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
The successful candidate will work primarily within dispensing and aseptic areas, gaining experience in pharmacy stores, outpatient, and ward areas. They will need to be flexible, organised, and have excellent communication skills.
The role involves rotating through the dispensary and pharmacy aseptic unit, providing support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This includes dispensing chemotherapy and medicines for side effect management, stock control, coordinating medicines delivery, environmental monitoring, and administrative tasks.
The post holder will be required to meet the highest standards of discipline and personal hygiene, adhering to standard operating procedures and clean room behaviours. Full aseptic training will be provided.
We are a friendly, forward-thinking team putting cancer patients at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
In line with the current UK Immigration Rules, this post does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship to support a Skilled Worker Visa or a Health & Care Worker Visa. Overseas nationals should review alternative immigration options before applying for this role.
