A residential recladding project in Brentford, West London, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the site. If you are a skilled Cladding/Facades Site Manager looking for a new challenge or a change of location, this could be the ideal opportunity.
We have a long-standing relationship with this client and have been asked to find a seasoned Project Manager to manage the recladding of a block of flats in the heart of the East End. The client delivers high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.
The Site Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring the delivery of the specified site/block to time and budget, ensuring a safe and effective outcome.
The Site Manager will be expected to manage, motivate, appraise, and deliver short-term programs to foremen and sub-contractors within the project.
The Site Manager will need to liaise with the commercial and health and safety teams, as well as managers across the business, to ensure the delivery of the project.
They will also compile and issue weekly site reports to the Project Manager for checking/alteration before onward transmission to the client.
Site Manager Role Responsibilities:- Creation, management, and monitoring of specified parts of the project plan and associated budgets.
- Management of foremen and other site/block-specific sub-contractors on-site.
- Working closely with Commercial, Design & Quality, and Health & Safety departments.
- Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest safety standard and in accordance with RAMs.
- Ensuring works are completed to construction drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring works are completed to program and deadlines.
- Preparing weekly and monthly client reports and issuing them to the PM.
- Managing specified works and workforce to agreed productivity levels, deadlines, and budgets.
- Assisting the maintenance and building of relationships with all key client staff and stakeholders, funders, and other third parties, as required.
- Taking full ownership of all aspects of management of works within your remit.
- Understanding the scope and managing the resources required to deliver the works to time and budget.
- Managing the delivery of the works to program and communicating all requirements to the workforce, supporting them in the production of their sections of the program.
- Coordinating labor and material requirements across the works/site teams to ensure efficient use of stores and resources. Liaising with the project manager/QS/buying department to ensure timely placing of orders and sequence of material deliveries. Keeping control of the labor and material by constant and accurate monitoring of the site requirements and related documentation.
- Being in possession of all relevant information to produce, maintain, and control the delivery of the works, communicating information to the workforce as required.
- Maintaining agreed quality standards, communicating those standards, all program, and contract requirements to the workforce.
- Maintaining complete and accurate online and printed records for all aspects of the works, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, and company policies.
- Working with the project management, commercial department/QS to ensure sub-contractors, LOSC, orders, budgets, and costs are managed.
- Working with the Health & Safety department to ensure delivery of the construction phase H&S plan, risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments and ensuring all relevant documentation and notices are available on site.
- Working with the ISO and Design & Quality departments to ensure total management of service and product delivery, across the works.
- Working with resident liaison and customer service personnel to manage and resolve residents' issues to their satisfaction.
- Monitoring workforce performance through objectives and action plans, as required.
- Ensuring all contractor and sub-contractor issues are raised and dealt with appropriately.
- Attending site and management meetings weekly, fortnightly, monthly as required.
- Keeping up to date with relevant industry regulations, H&S legislation, and company processes and procedures.
- Holding weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors/supply chain.
- Ensuring QA/QC is being carried out and recorded by ASM.
- Monitoring, delivering, and updating weekly the site program.
- Technical - ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification/experience in a construction-related discipline.
- CSCS card.
- Site Managers Safety SMSTS.
- Asbestos awareness.
- Scaffold awareness; mobile tower scaffold PASMA.
- Manual handling.
- Fire awareness.
- DBS checked as required for specific projects.
- Façade/EWI experience is essential.
- Minimum 4 years previous experience.
- Competent user MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Microsoft Outlook email, and calendars.
