About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing goal-focused rehabilitation to patients, supporting them to become experts in their own care and remain in their own homes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic assessments and interventions for patients, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise junior staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Build networks and relationships across multiple sites and clinical teams, promoting integrated working and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of care pathways and protocols, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Professional knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal training, short courses, and experience to degree level or equivalent.
  • Relevant post-qualification training through short courses and/or further study and experience.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
