About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our dynamic and innovative consultancy, Fourth Wall Building Consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on residential properties of all shapes, sizes, and ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and report on residential properties, identifying defects and providing recommendations for repair or improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality surveying services, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and maintaining professional standards.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities, identifying potential clients and partners to drive growth and expansion.
Requirements
  • AssocRICS or MRICS qualification, with a minimum of 1-2 years of building surveying experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and report on defects and potential issues.
  • Proficiency in report writing software, such as GoReport, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £35-50k, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual performance-based bonus and car allowance.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown.
  • RICS fees paid and CPD budget for ongoing professional development.
  • Hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days per week in the office and 3 days onsite or home working.
