Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is proud to be retained by our industry-leading client, Metlen, who is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the quality of their solar sites in the UK.

Temporary Accommodation: Will be provided as the candidate moves from site to site.

The Role:

  • Perform daily inspections and tests to ensure the quality of construction meets the required standards in the designs and specifications for all works.
  • Conduct inspections and checking of quality-related procedures on site to ensure activities are in line with approved method statements and inspection test plans.
  • Identify and issue Non-Conformity Reports.
  • Coordinate with customer representatives and technical supervision for inspections and conduct meetings to discuss quality issues, including the closure of Non-Conformity Reports.
  • Manage QA/QC documents for the entire project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-conformity reports, and site instructions/observations.
  • Verify subcontractor compliance with quality procedures.
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.
  • Recommend and implement improvements as needed.
  • Produce acts of intermediate/hidden/completed works.
  • Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
  • Ensure all technical documents related to site quality control are up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • Preferably experience in Solar Power Plant construction.
  • Construction experience.
  • Knowledge of local legislation.
