Pearson is looking for a Radiography Associate Lead (Level 4) to join our quality assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of assessment quality for our apprentices.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the recruitment and training of new assessors, support their development, and undertake remote sampling of assessments. If you have a strong background in radiography and quality assurance, we would love to hear from you

About the Role:

  • Contribute to the recruitment and training of new assessors within the allocated team
  • Act as a mentor for new assessors within allocated teams
  • Support assessors to develop their practice through face-to-face and remote standardisation activities
  • Undertake remote sampling of assessments, in line with the overarching sampling strategy
  • Accompany assessors, remotely or on-site, when required
  • Provide advice/guidance to assessors when using electronic systems
  • Contribute to the formative/summative RAG ratings of assessors within allocated teams
  • Contribute to ongoing analysis, lessons learned and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance, recommendation, and support to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records to withstand internal audit and external quality audit
  • Take an active role in your professional development
  • Maintain service level agreements and take corrective action where service level agreements are due to breach
  • Adhere and implement all relevant policies, procedures and guidance documents
  • Support with enquiries and appeals, as required
  • Produce a quarterly report based on feedback from team leaders, internal quality assurers and assessors to identify any trends
  • Identify, report, and escalate any risks which could compromise the validity and accuracy of any end-point assessment

About You:

  • You have a strong background in radiography and quality assurance, with a current HCPC registration as a radiographer
  • You have held an internal quality assurance qualification for a minimum of three years
  • You have experience of supporting and managing teams of assessors (remote or face-to-face)
  • You have experience of complying with quality assurance/regulatory requirements
  • You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively respond to conflicts
  • You are able to maintain accuracy while processing high volumes of evidence
  • You possess excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • You have sufficient and relevant technical knowledge of the legislation, regulatory frameworks, systems, technology, tools, and processes associated with the EPA(s)
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the associated apprenticeship standard, assessment plan, specification, assessment instruments and recording tools
  • You are able to assess without bias
