Clinical Nurse Specialist in Heart and Lung Transplantation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Heart and Lung Transplantation, you will play a vital role in the care and management of patients undergoing heart and lung transplantation. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide expert care, education, and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide expert information, education, and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
* Coordinate the patient pathway for patients undergoing heart and lung transplantation
* Develop and lead nurse-led clinics
* Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care
Requirements
* Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC register
* Post-registration qualification in a relevant area of specialty
* Experience in caring for patients with heart and lung conditions
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
