Job Title: AV Field Service Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AV Field Service Engineer to join our team based in Peterborough. As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide worldwide onsite technical assistance to customers during overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding, and installation and commissioning of steam turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, and gearboxes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a high technical and professional level of service to customers, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Provide detailed site reports to the required standard, highlighting actions that may need to be taken and seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise the activities of Company or Customer supplied Technicians, ensuring their day-to-day safety requirements, site activities, and discipline are met.
  • Follow health and safety at work procedures and complete required Risk Assessments.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Steam Turbines and Reciprocating Compressors.
  • Ability to develop and manage good customer relationships through the provision of professional customer management.
  • Experience and a strong focus on health and safety.
  • Ability to supervise others at site during complex installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Experienced working on international assignments, including where English is not the main language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and able to produce detailed written technical documents.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
