About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Northern Marine Group, supporting the Finance Business Partner across all aspects of financial information.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis and commentary, as well as full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations.

You will also be expected to be a subject matter expert on the respective BU results, prepare, review and challenge budgets, business plans and forecasts, and maintain financial control processes.

We are looking for a proactive individual who can suggest and implement process improvements, liaise with BU stakeholders on a regular basis to help them understand financial results, and liaise with auditors both internally and externally.

In addition, you will provide balance sheet and P&L analysis and be involved in projects as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional accountancy part qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA)
  • A degree in finance or a business-related subject or equivalent qualification
  • Either experience within a reputable accountancy firm or experience in a similar position
  • Desirable experience in branch accounting
  • Strong experience in preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and audit involvement
  • Experience in dealing with difficult stakeholders and communicating with non-finance stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment
  • A high degree of problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. As a hybrid employee, you will have the flexibility to work from home and in the office, dependent on commercial demands.
