Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Mental Health Social Work Team at Doncaster Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families to achieve their outcomes and improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake holistic assessments and develop person-centered plans to support individuals and families in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to service delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals and families to help them make informed decisions and take control of their lives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the locality-based approach, using creative ways to support people to live the lives they choose.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the practice framework, which is based on strong legally literate and rights-based practice.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong understanding of mental health and social care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
