Role: Senior Pensions Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pensions Consultant to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting pension scheme rules and regulations, as well as developing and implementing effective administration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with external business partners and consultants to test and validate calculation specifications and calculators, based on a range of test scenarios, to provide evidence of compliance with scheme rules and regulations and highlight areas of technical complexity to recommend full automation or manual calculation specifications.
  • Understand and analyze the functional or business inputs on the Pension Scheme processes to support workshops, produce specifications and build operations manuals using the relevant tools.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and focus groups (Members, Employers, Unions) during and after transition to report progress, take feedback and consider improvements on the development of the proposition, highlighting any areas of concern or potential enhancements for internal resolution/implementation.
  • Collaborate with industry experts to interpret scheme rules, emerging regulatory change and legal rulings to assess impact to the Pension Scheme and develop solutions and recommendations to support potential policy change decisions and considerations
  • Communicate with, take feedback from and present solutions to stakeholder groups and deliver a fully compliant and effective administration solution with a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proactive, knowledgeable, confident and excellent analytical ability.
  • Specialisation in UK Public and Private Sector Defined Benefits Schemes.
  • Proven experience of participating in and delivering technical change and engaging stakeholders in new solution requirements involving large clients.
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing pension scheme changes impacting people, systems and clients.
  • Experience of delivering business processes and system changes to meet regulatory updates and rule changes.
  • Policy and technical inputs for benefit structure and regulatory changes in pensions.
  • Implementation of administration solutions in Pensions.
  • Specialisation in UK Public and Private Sector Defined Benefits Schemes.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of TPS benefit structure and calculation requirements.
  • Understanding of relevant Pension benefit structure/s to support the Program team with clarifications as well as input.
  • Understanding of Scheme Outputs and Reporting requirements, Process Diagrams and Pensions data in varying formats.
  • Flexibility, Teamwork and Creativity.
  • Ability to support the Transformation Program by working closely with Technical, IT Development and Digital solution teams to complete the gap analysis using Agile methodologies
  • Ability to support various workstreams to estimate the effort for the gaps in the solution and drawing up a pragmatic schedule to deliver them in line with transformation plan.
  • Ability to review the Functional Test Scenarios, Test evidence, results and outputs to assure the Program governance team to target a smooth go live or identify exceptions for resolution.
  • Ability to adapt to use all existing and emerging best practices, tools and processes within the Program and organization.
  • Focus on continuous improvement.
