About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as a Rotational Physiotherapy Team Lead. As part of a Band 6 Medical/Respiratory rotation at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, this role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in team leadership and the development of junior physios and undergraduate physiotherapy students.

The role is responsible for providing leadership and clinical expertise on a rotational basis, with a focus on respiratory medicine, acute medicine, general medicine, health for older people, and cystic fibrosis. You will assess and treat patients with complex respiratory conditions, including acute admissions and chronic and life-limiting cases.

We are a welcoming Trust, focused on valuing a person's differences and encouraging them to grow and flourish in their role in healthcare. The role comes with the added benefit of being in a modern city with a wide range of leisure activities and entertainment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and clinical expertise on a rotational basis
  • Assess and treat patients with complex respiratory conditions
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective discharge or transfer to ongoing services
  • Support overnight on-call, weekend, and bank holiday working on a rota basis
