Railway Operations Manager

As a Crossing Keeper at Network Rail, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe movement of passengers and freight through our rail network. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities
• Control the movement of crossing barriers to allow trains to pass through on time
• Raise barriers to let other users cross the tracks when it is safe to do so
• Maintain barriers and other crossing equipment, responding quickly to any faults or potential safety risks
Requirements
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer service
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work under pressure, with a calm and professional demeanor
