Job Summary:
CK Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer of fine chemicals based in the UK. This is a full-time permanent position with a salary range of around £35,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and administrative tasks under the guidance of the Maintenance Lead.
- Prioritize safety by conducting risk assessments, ensuring safe operations, and compliance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with departments to meet work priorities and client expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with employees and suppliers for timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and contractors.
- Assist the Maintenance Lead in problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 GCSE Grade C or equivalent, of which two should be Math and English.
- A working knowledge of Office 365, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of working with hazardous chemicals and materials, including associated risks.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the role, such as working at heights, handling dangerous substances, and working in explosive atmospheres.
- Basic proficiency in using tool craft equipment, including grinding and welding tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in maintenance departments within chemical or potentially explosive atmosphere environments.
- Ability to understand technical drawings like electric plans and building plans, although not essential.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial but not required.
