Sales Engineer Career Development Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to join our team at Intertek, a global leader in quality assurance and risk management. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge within the business-to-business sales engineering space.
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in achieving our objectives by developing sales opportunities through the search and identification of potential customers, soliciting new contacts, and building relationships. You will work closely with our Regional sales team to manage leads, potential customers, and business opportunities in line with our strategy and action plans.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge in sales functions, preferably in a business-to-business environment, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets. They will also have a background in engineering, economics, or equivalent, and excellent written and spoken English skills. Additionally, they should be able to find data, information, and negotiate effectively.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as career development opportunities, a dynamic working environment, and a chance to work with a global network of inspiring colleagues.

Key Activities
Manage leads, potential customers, and business opportunities in line with our strategy and action plans
Develop sales opportunities through the search and identification of potential customers, soliciting new contacts, and building relationships
Support the management team at client meetings, exhibitions, and conferences as required
Search for new customers, identify key contacts, and generate interest in Intertek services
Maintain and update CRM tools proactively
Work with local teams to compile and complete all RFIs, RFQs, and tenders, ensuring all technical and commercial submissions are in line with clients' expectations and within commercial parameters set by the company
