A DevSecOps Engineer Opportunity in Central London

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team at H&R Talent. This role will be instrumental in embedding security into every phase of our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage security testing tools in CI/CD pipelines for early vulnerability detection, ensuring seamless integration with AWS and Azure infrastructures.
  • Protect cloud environments by managing identity, access, and network security while monitoring for threats, utilizing IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Automate security tasks, including vulnerability scans and compliance checks, using Python, PowerShell, and DevOps tools, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
  • Utilize containerization best practices (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure secure deployments and conduct regular audits of infrastructure code, maintaining the highest level of security.
  • Monitor for security threats, analyze incidents, and collaborate with response teams to mitigate risks, fostering a proactive approach to security.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to promote security best practices without hindering workflows, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar, ensuring seamless automation and integration.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automating security tasks, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure, and expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), ensuring secure and efficient deployments.
  • Strong understanding of core security principles, including vulnerability management, encryption, and identity and access management, providing a solid foundation for our security strategy.

The estimated salary range for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
