Building Surveyor

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join a Public Sector organisation's Property Services team in the East Midlands. The successful candidate will provide building surveying services to manage, maintain, and improve Council-owned commercial properties. This is a great chance for an experienced professional to utilise their skills and knowledge in a new challenge.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include inspecting and overseeing the repair and maintenance of Council-owned properties. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and coordinating building works, conducting stock condition surveys, and providing technical advice on construction projects. A strong understanding of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and CDM regulations is essential for this role.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will require a degree in Building Surveying or a related field and proven experience in building surveying and contract administration. Experience in managing contractors and working with external partners is also beneficial. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required for this role.
