About the Role

We are seeking a resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a Special Educational Needs Primary and Secondary School in London.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teachers and other support staff to create a happy and comfortable environment for our students with Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in the education and development of the children.
  • Plan and implement own set tasks within the day.
  • Offer individual and group support to students before, during and after lessons.
  • Assist students with their understanding and participation in tasks.
  • Help with the personal care needs of pupils, including feeding, changing and manual handling.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about facilitating individuals' achievements and working in a team environment. Previous experience in a classroom setting is desirable, but not essential. We will consider candidates with experience in special needs, care work or childcare.
