Job Summary

We are seeking an inspiring teacher to lead our Vocational Art programme, working closely with students to develop their artistic skills and confidence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of our students, while also promoting creativity and self-expression.

Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and deliver a Vocational Art programme that aligns with the College's curriculum framework and meets the needs of our students.
  • Teaching and Learning: Provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences that promote student engagement, motivation, and achievement.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Develop and implement effective assessment strategies that provide accurate and constructive feedback to students.
  • Student Support: Work closely with students to identify areas of need and develop personalized plans to support their progress and well-being.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and expertise, and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions and support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Education or a related field, with a specialization in Art or a related subject.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching and leading art programmes in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in art education.

  • £32,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
