About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Assistant to join our innovative, fast-paced and growing company. As a member of the finance department and a growing accounts payable team, you will interact with people across the business and have multiple priorities at one time, so you will need to be a good communicator and have superb time management skills, excellent attention to detail and self-motivation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statements, code and check company details.
  • Allocate credit card payments and reconcile monthly statements.
  • Work with key suppliers and handle queries.
  • Ensure invoices are authorized, prepare weekly suggested payments and liaise with the team manager on cash requirements (UK and international currency).
  • Perform other finance month-end routines, including accruals, prepayments and other journals.
  • Support annual audit information preparation.
  • Record and reconcile inter-company transactions.
  • Review deposits and contract prepayments.
  • Input capital expenditure items to the Fixed Asset register.

Requirements

We welcome applications from candidates who want to start or continue their career in finance. You must be enthusiastic, reliable and self-confident with an excellent telephone manner. As well as being numerate with a strong attention to detail, you must be highly organized with a proactive approach to work individually and as part of the team. Prior experience with Excel, Workday or in finance is desirable. Being flexible with your work to accommodate key monthly deadlines at peak times is important in this role.
