Are you a seasoned Java technologist with experience in cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence? We're seeking a talented Lead Backend Software Engineer to join our cross-functional team at Client Server, a leading PropTech company that has revolutionised the way we find property for rent and sale with millions of users per day.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement the underlying application layer to expose and encapsulate fundamental Generative AI capabilities, facilitating scalability and the adoption of AI.
  • Act as an AI champion within the wider technology team, keeping up with the latest advancements, seeking continual improvement, and providing mentoring to other engineers.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to introduce cutting-edge AI technology.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience of working with AI, with a demonstrable interest in Generative AI concepts such as LLM, OpenAI, Hugging Face, Vision, multi-modal, embedding models, similarity search, and dense vector persistence.
  • Strong backend web development experience with Java and SpringBoot.
  • Technical project leadership and mentoring experience.
  • A test-driven approach, TDD, Agile methodologies, and processes.
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
