Trading Underwriter Opportunity

Reed is currently working with a well-established Bristol-based client to find a skilled Trading Underwriter to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a general insurance professional with experience in underwriting to take on a challenging and rewarding role. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for engaging with business partners, providing performance updates, and managing insurance risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and renew insurance policies with business partners, ensuring effective risk management.
  • Analyse data using MS Excel to maintain high-quality output and informed decision-making.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks, adhering to deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Conduct in-depth underwriting discussions with business partners, showcasing strong communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements
  • Proven underwriting experience with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for robust data analysis.
  • Innovative and relationship-focused, with the ability to build lasting connections with business partners.
  • Excellent project and task management abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills in complex underwriting conversations.
