Job Description

A pivotal role within Supply Chain, evaluating the Demand Plan for Site FG to deliver a production plan, by assessing capacity, highlighting issues and identifying opportunities to balance customer demand and Long Sutton's supply in the medium- and short-term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning of production lines to maintain an accurate four-week schedule;
  • Planning of seasonal production in line with crop availability and customer requirements;
  • Maintaining customer service for the factory at 99.5% or above;
  • Maintaining finished goods stocks to agreed site budgets;
  • Providing accurate and timely information to the material scheduling team;
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders (other planners, material schedulers, production personnel);
  • Responsible at all times for ensuring optimum customer service in terms of quantity and timeliness;
  • Having authority to change production plan at any time (With the support of on-call managers during 'out of hours' where appropriate);
  • Effective management of redundant stocks.
Requirements
  • Production planning experience;
  • IT skills including advanced level of Microsoft Excel;
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly;
  • High level of communication both verbally and written;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Minimum Food Safety Level 2;
  • Understanding of Supply Chain;
  • Experience of automated planning systems;
  • Ability to work independently and think outside of the box;

Benefits

An estimated salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits package.
