Production Operations Manager

A pivotal role within Supply Chain, evaluating the Demand Plan for Site FG to deliver a production plan, by assessing capacity, highlighting issues and identifying opportunities to balance customer demand and Long Sutton's supply in the medium- and short-term.
Key Responsibilities- Planning of production lines to maintain an accurate four-week schedule;
- Planning of seasonal production in line with crop availability and customer requirements;
- Maintaining customer service for the factory at 99.5% or above;
- Maintaining finished goods stocks to agreed site budgets;
- Providing accurate and timely information to the material scheduling team;
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders (other planners, material schedulers, production personnel);
- Responsible at all times for ensuring optimum customer service in terms of quantity and timeliness;
- Having authority to change production plan at any time (With the support of on-call managers during 'out of hours' where appropriate);
- Effective management of redundant stocks.
- Production planning experience;
- IT skills including advanced level of Microsoft Excel;
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly;
- High level of communication both verbally and written;
- Attention to detail;
- Minimum Food Safety Level 2;
- Understanding of Supply Chain;
- Experience of automated planning systems;
- Ability to work independently and think outside of the box;
