With an annual turnover exceeding £50 million, they undertake projects valued up to £5 million covering rail infrastructure, groundworks, highways infrastructure, and car park construction.

Civil engineers can make a real impact on society by creating efficient and safe transportation systems, developing sustainable cities, and reducing the environmental footprint of buildings. As a Quantity Surveyor at Cityscape, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring delivery of payment while developing client relationships. Your primary responsibility will be managing up to 3 projects simultaneously, with values between £1 million-£2 million. These projects will cover various aspects such as highways, bridge infrastructure, and S278 schemes for residential developers and local authorities.

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Managing day-to-day tasks to provide commercial support to both project delivery and estimating teams.
  • Assisting in the prompt presentation of applications for payment and final accounts, including all contractual entitlements.
  • Ensuring timely receipt of payments in accordance with contract terms.
  • Procurement, negotiation, and placement of sub-contract orders.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position ranges from £55,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability. Additionally, you can expect a generous package including a car allowance of £7,500, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private healthcare, and enrollment in their pension scheme and profit commission scheme. Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying and proven experience working on civil engineering infrastructure projects in the UK. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is ideal, along with working knowledge of NEC forms of contracts. You must also hold a full UK driving license and reside within a 1-hour commute from Cityscape's office in Kent. Hybrid working arrangements are available.
