Job Description

Driver Hire Uxbridge is seeking experienced 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers to work with our clients based in the UB postcode areas. This is a temporary ad-hoc position, and shifts are not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and collect goods, including catering equipment, printers, electrical supplies, piping, flooring, and construction equipment.
  • Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle, making multi-drop deliveries in and around the M25 area.
  • Work with various companies, including tool and plant hire, and scaffolding delivery and collection.
  • Start times may vary between 5:30 and 8am, with shifts mainly during the week, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends).
Requirements:
  • Valid UK CAT C1 licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN).
  • A manual driving licence.
  • At least 1-year experience as a 7.5T driver/LGV/HGV (references required).
  • More than 90 days of appropriate driving experience (Cat C1) in the past 12 months.
  • Over 25 years old (insurance purposes).
  • Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Pay and Benefits:
  • We pay for a minimum of 10 hours a day (breaks are not paid).
  • PAYE £15.50 to £18.00 per hour (including holiday pay).
