Town Planner Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of the UK's leading house builders in their search for an ambitious Town Planner to join their North-West office.

The successful candidate will become a key member of a close-knit planning team and will be offered a competitive starting salary and an impressive benefits package, including:

Key Responsibilities

The Town Planner will be responsible for carrying out planning and development appraisals, preparing and submitting planning and other related applications within the residential sector for both immediate and strategic sites.

Key duties will include:

  • Producing site assessments and detailed examinations of planning histories
  • Policy analysis, interpretation, and consideration of material considerations
  • Setting up and inputting into new site appraisals for immediate and strategic sites
Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will require:

  • Previous experience working in the private or public sector in the field of development management/planning policy
  • Degree/Masters Planning Degree, ideally with an MRTPI accreditation and a rounded knowledge of town planning
  • Ability to adapt to change and work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
