About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Value Coordinator to join our team on the SSE ASTI project in Alness, Scotland. As a key member of our Energy team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward our social value initiatives and promoting diversity and inclusion within our supply chain and workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supply chain relationships to ensure diversity and inclusion within the workforce and supply chain.
  • Develop and implement EDI training programs for the immediate workforce and supply chain.
  • Facilitate quarterly meetings with the supply chain to share best practices and discuss new initiatives.
  • Drive forward EDI initiatives within the supply chain and workforce to increase diversity and promote an inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate with HR and parent companies to ensure blind sifting and unconscious bias are removed from the hiring process.
  • Manage diversity surveys across the workforce and supply chain and compile a diversity report for the leadership team and client.
  • Ensure suppliers are ethical and compliant with EDI policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Skills, Education, and Employment teams, HR, and community engagement teams to ensure opportunities and engagement are targeted to impacted communities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and maintain a public helpline to respond to queries and concerns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Hold a qualification that covers The Equality Act 2010, EU Directives, and jurisprudence.
  • Experience of presenting at a senior level and a qualification in public speaking is advantageous.
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Public Relations and Third-Party issues in relation to construction activities.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Experience of PR and liaison would be highly advantageous.
