Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research project set-up and conduct in accordance with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research.
  • Generate research governance reports to provide assurance for social care/non-NHS providers.
  • Advise organisations on suitability of researcher pre-engagement HR checks and where applicable support researchers in obtaining honorary research contracts, letters of access, and research passports.
  • Advise on regulatory and legal requirements for research across settings.
  • Support project costing and securing excess treatment costs where applicable.
  • Collaborate with RRDN staff, ICB colleagues, local academic leads, researchers, industry contacts, and ethics committee contacts to support a strong portfolio of research.

Requirements:

  • Significant operational experience of using systems and processes which support the delivery of high-quality clinical care in a clinical research environment.
  • Knowledge of research governance and legal requirements to ensure safe systems for patients.
  • Ability to contribute to the development and review of relevant policies and SOPs.
