Project Design Engineer

At Bird Bellows, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Design Engineer - Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of new product designs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new product designs, including concept development, design reviews, and qualification programmes.
- Manage and oversee the development testing of new products, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
- Liaise with customers to ensure deviations to specifications are accepted and agreed where required.
- Support the Project Manager by developing, driving, and reporting the technical activities of the project plan.
Requirements:
- Experience in the design and development of new/modified products in a highly regulated industry.
- Experience in the design and development of metallic ducting systems/components or thin wall sheet metal products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at internal/external stakeholder levels.
