Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Technical Assistant in a clinical support role. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support, working closely with medical and clinical staff to ensure the highest standards of care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist medical and clinical staff during clinics and on wards, including ITU.
  • Prepare clinic rooms and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Record patient data and transport portable equipment as required.
  • Support patients with limited mobility and assist with basic hygiene needs.
  • Organise and maintain consumable stock levels and liaise with departments to ensure consistent supplies.
  • Carry out infection control procedures on clinic rooms and equipment.
  • Maintain waiting room facilities and participate in departmental audits.

Person Specification

Essential

  • GCSEs grade C level with minimum 4 GCSEs to include English, Maths, and Science or equivalent level of education, training, or experience.
  • Experience of working with patients, patient handling, and moving.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention in healthcare.

Desirable

  • NVQ level 2 patient care.
  • Experience of working with children, the elderly, and people with special needs.
  • Experience of working in a diagnostic department.
