Quality Engineer Job Description

Carmichael UK is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Banbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing quality, technical assurance, and completions requirements, working closely with construction delivery teams to balance these against programme constraints and effective methods of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality control and assurance requirements and interventions
  • Develop and maintain quality control and assurance strategies and interventions
  • Manage and prioritize quality and completions record keeping for projects
  • Collaborate with construction delivery teams to ensure timely handover of project assets

Requirements:

  • Competent Quality and/or Handover (Completions) Engineer with proven experience in implementing quality control and assurance requirements
  • Very good knowledge and practical application of quality control, quality assurance, or handover best practice strategies and interventions
  • Experience of using digital systems to support quality and completions record keeping for projects
  • Flexible approach to managing, prioritizing, and delivering to deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Good organisational and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Degree, Bachelors, MSc, or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction related degree
