We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Journalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the TV industry and excellent knowledge of Arabic classical language.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and producing stories, scripting, editing, outputting, filming, and presenting content across various BBC platforms. Key responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning and selecting relevant materials that meet audience expectations and adhere to the BBC's editorial guidelines.
  • Undertaking on-air reporting, filming, and editing material for broadcast as needed.
  • Presenting live or recorded content on radio, TV, or online.
  • Fostering diversity in our workforce and ensuring output reflects the audiences we serve.
  • Demonstrating exceptional journalism skills, accuracy, and attention to detail under pressure.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • Previous journalistic experience in the TV industry.
  • Excellent command of Arabic classical language and grammar.
  • Mastery of new technology.
  • Advanced English language skills, including comprehension of written and spoken English.
  • The ability to write engaging on-air scripts and headlines.
