Job Overview
A Senior Buyer role at Employment Solutions in Stockport is now available. This position involves managing strategic supplier relationships across the UK and Europe to ensure timely delivery of compliant materials and services. As a key member of the team, you will develop and implement procurement strategies for high-value materials and critical suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for high-value materials and critical suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and reviews
- Purchase raw materials, metals, fabrications, and lasered parts
- Coordinate procurement inputs such as RFIs and RFQs for bid campaigns and production needs
- Collaborate with internal departments and partners to mitigate supply chain risks and resolve issues related to quality, invoices, or technical matters
- Support cost-saving initiatives, including commodity resourcing and efficient Bill of Materials alignment

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Engineering Buyer
- Experience sourcing Metals / Metalwork / Fabrication
- Experience within a highly regulated sector, preferably Heavy Manufacturing, MOD / Defence or similar
- Strong work ethic and resilient attitude towards challenges

What We Offer
- Competitive salary range: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
- 7% Pension Contributions
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
