About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at the Hub. As a key member of our café team, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality food and drink service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors.
  • Assist with daily tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the CaféBar, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and cleaning.
  • Ensure the CaféBar is safe, clean, and presented to the highest standard at all times.
  • Prepare and deliver a range of hot and cold drinks and food, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Process orders and payments accurately, handling cash and completing daily cashing up procedures.
  • Support the delivery of events, including setting up rooms and banqueting tables, and preparing buffets and catering.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and environmental health requirements.
  • Be present and alert during opening hours, reporting any issues to the Duty Manager.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or food service environment is desirable.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation standards.
