Reconciliations Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reconciliations Analyst to join our Life & Pensions business team. As a key member of our Reconciliations Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, matching entries, and preparing bank statements.
  • Ensure control account balances are correct and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Download financial reports, compare them to the Ledger, and address any differences quickly.
  • Verify daily systems checks, ensuring the Trial Balance matches and journals are approved.
  • Investigate and report operational losses accurately.
  • Review tax reconciliations and ensure timely payments to HMRC.
  • Calculate and request payments for reassurance reports, ensuring accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in financial services.
  • Background in Finance Operations or reconciliation (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage to tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate in MS Excel and Word skills and appetite to learn and effectively navigate multiple computer systems and other technologies.
