We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time or part-time Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our Whitworth schools. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will be responsible for creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

About the Role:

  • Create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes academic growth and social-emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other professionals, and parents to provide comprehensive support.
  • Show commitment to the school's community and its values.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and sessions to small groups.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of children's needs to plan and implement targeted interventions.
  • Establish trusting relationships with pupils to cater to their unique requirements.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
  • Prior experience working with children in a school setting is essential.
  • A good grasp of the KS1 curriculum is necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • A passion for creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment is crucial.
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs is beneficial.
  • An enhanced DBS check is mandatory; assistance will be provided if needed.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £12,908 - £13,500 per annum, based on a full-time position. This figure may vary depending on the specific circumstances.
