About the Role

As a Program Manager of Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) Data & Analytics, you will play a key role in transforming how we approach and execute workforce planning in the Technology organization. You will partner closely with the Director of SWP and other stakeholders to develop and implement a systematic process for analyzing, forecasting, and planning the Amex Technology workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the transformation of SWP reporting and analytics to best-in-class, automated tooling that enables self-service modeling and dashboard reporting.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions, including providing use cases and pressure testing modeling and dashboard solutions.
  • Make the best use of existing tools, models, and data to produce SWP reporting while a new, automated solution is developed and implemented.
  • Produce periodic SWP reporting and workforce management insights based on SWP data sets using existing tools and models.
  • Support planning and change management as new tools are rolled out, and ongoing support for end users as they self-serve.
  • Manage the TWTE budget in close partnership with Tech Finance and Portfolio teams.
  • Identify and track key SWP project deliverables and achievements using research and data analysis, scenario modeling, business case development, and project management.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners such as Finance and Technology Portfolio teams, and build key relationships to identify and manage dependencies.
  • Manage outcomes by managing the details, sequencing, and preparing for meetings and events thoughtfully to drive outcomes efficiently.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree along with strong analytics experience is essential.
  • Passion for data analysis and demonstrated analytical thinking capability and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative mindset and awareness of external data management and benchmarking best practices.
  • Technical expertise to collect data and ensure accuracy, along with ability to process, design, and present it.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make inferences from data in ways that help people and organizations make better decisions.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Resourceful and thrive in ambiguous situations where you're challenged to think in structured ways to get at what's meaningful.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly organized with experience running large-scale programs.
  • Experience working in either Technology or Consulting, or closely partnering with Technology is a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile practices.
