About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a senior role. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work at a more senior level across different areas of the hospital, providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience working in a physical setting and a good understanding of hospital systems for managing patient assessment and treatment. You will also be able to write concise and accurate reports and have the ability to work autonomously, planning and prioritizing your workload.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex needs, developing and implementing remedial and preventative treatment programs, and contributing to the development of services and standards according to occupational therapy objectives. You will also be required to maintain accurate electronic records and activity data, and participate in the planning, evaluation and audit of practice, clinical pathways and protocols within the occupational therapy services.

Benefits and Salary:

The salary range for this role is £52,797 - £65,760 per annum, plus benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through participation in internal and external development opportunities, and to contribute to the hospitals clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (Dip RCOT or BSc OT)
  • Experience of working as a Band 5 OT in a physical setting
  • Awareness of the Importance of Equality and Inclusion
  • Demonstrate an understanding of hospital systems for the management of patient assessment and treatment
  • Concise and accurate report writing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, planning and prioritising own workload
  • Able to undertake manual handling tasks
  • Knowledge of relevant current policies and guidelines
  • Ability to work flexibly across sites and with weekend working
