As an Environmental Consultant - Permitting, you will contribute to the environmental permitting team's work, support existing clients, and manage office-based tasks with site visits and meetings. The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the team's multidisciplinary work and prepare project materials.
  • Engage with existing clients and develop client relationships.
  • Prepare quotes and invoices, supporting project management.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client engagement.
  • Strong time and organisational skills to complete work on time and budget.
  • Take responsibility for project delivery, use initiative, and work independently.
  • Excellent written skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Science, Geography, or Civil Engineering field.
  • Good IT skills, especially MS Word and Excel.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of permitting and regulatory frameworks.
  • Detailed understanding of environmental risk assessment tools (e.g., LandSim / H1).
  • Familiarity with EMS and QMS.
