Are you a skilled lawyer looking to make a difference in the construction industry? We are seeking an experienced Contract and Procurement Lawyer with a specialism in Construction Law to join our client, a brilliant local authority in London, on a locum basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects, utilizing your knowledge of law and legislation relating to Contracts, Procurement, and Construction.

The successful candidate will have expert knowledge and understanding of the complex laws and regulations governing construction projects, as well as experience working within local authorities or public sector organisations.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice, preparing contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and laws. If you are passionate about construction law and want to take your career to the next level, we would love to hear from you

About the Role

  • Provide legal advice and support on contractual matters, including JCTs and NECs
  • Manage a caseload of varying complexity, including construction-related cases
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Public Contracts Regulations 2015

What You'll Need

  • A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or a Fellow of CILEX
  • Specialism within Contracts, Procurement, and Construction Law and evidence of practicing this post-qualification
  • Experience working within local authorities or for a public sector organisation
