Job Overview

In this position, you will oversee the planning and execution of adoptable housing estate roads and sewers projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple construction sites across the Merseyside region, coordinating teams and resources while maintaining project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the coordination with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor work quality and adherence to specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Control project costs and resources, preparing and managing budgets, and optimising efficiency.
  • Enforce safety protocols on all job sites, identifying and mitigating risks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record as a Contract Manager or Project Manager within civil engineering, particularly in constructing adoptable roads and sewer systems.

  • A strong knowledge of road and sewer construction, with the ability to manage projects involving pipes up to 7.5 tonnes and excavation depths up to 8 meters.
  • Relevant civil engineering construction management experience and SMSTS or similar health and safety certification is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for effective team management and client engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage challenges and keep projects on track.
