Role Overview

Corserv is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of its commercial spaceport strategy and pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of the aerospace ecosystem at Cornwall Airport Newquay, leveraging the unique opportunity to establish Cornwall as a leading destination for space-related activities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deliver Corserv's future air and space strategy, aligning with the company's vision to make Cornwall a hub for air and spaceport-related activities.
  • Engage with local, regional, and national stakeholders to communicate the future air and space vision and strategy, influencing policies and legislation to support the Spaceport strategy.
  • Implement, maintain, and report the sales pipeline for future air and space opportunities and projects, developing and delivering Corserv's pipeline, including launch activities, commercial partnerships, and opportunities to locate related business on-site.
  • Lead on all commercial negotiations and funding activities to deliver a steady pipeline of new business opportunities, responsible for management and reporting of the future air and space related budgets.

Requirements

  • Quick off the mark to understand Cornwall's current position in the Aerospace industry, working within a functioning commercial airport that can pivot to accommodate Future Air and Space activity efficiently and safely within short timeframes.
  • Engage regularly with multiple businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies to ensure your strategy and visions are aligned with regards to commercial development and funding opportunities.
  • Represent the company externally at networking events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company's profile and optimise all business development opportunities.
