Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Mechanical/Multi Skilled Fitter to join our team at the Imerys British Lithium Pilot Plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, scheduled routine and reactive maintenance of fixed plant and associated systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and diagnostics, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Providing engineering support for maintenance and installation activities
  • Installation of new equipment and process modifications
  • Ordering site spares and managing inventory
  • Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Creating and collecting data to support maintenance activities

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A sound understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance, including fixed processing plant
  • An NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A good level of IT skills
  • The ability to legally drive in the UK
