About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Cambian Somerset School, a specialist school supporting young people with autism.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the curriculum, working closely with teachers to engage and progress learning for students. You will provide in-session support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress towards their goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of the curriculum, working closely with teachers to engage and progress learning for students.
  • Provide in-session support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress towards their goals.
  • Develop learning resources that are individualized to meet students' communication needs.
  • Support students to engage in a range of enrichment activities.
Requirements

We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of others, innovative, engaging, enthusiastic, and inspirational. You will be a positive and consistent role model to others, with excellent communication and team player skills. You will also be seeking career development and training, and looking to develop expertise in special educational needs and autism.
