Your new role at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited will be to work within the Nursing Team assisting elderly residents with normal activities of daily living, promoting independence and maintaining an individual's dignity and respect. You will be part of a great organisation that puts people at the heart of everything they do, with a real community feel within the home. The care is for service users with various conditions, including epilepsy, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, parkinson's disease, stroke, and dementia. You will work with adults aged under-65 with physical disabilities.
Your main job will be to assist elderly residents with daily tasks, promoting independence and dignity. You will work with a team to ensure the smooth running of the home, and encourage service users to have confidence and high self-esteem. You will be required to work flexible shifts, including day and night shifts, and will need to be trained in moving and handling, hoist training, safeguarding, assisting with medication, and nutrition and hydration training. You will need to have a level 2 qualification in social care or adults, or equivalent experience in a similar role. You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to get involved in activities.
In return, you will receive a competitive hourly pay and consistent weekly shifts on an ongoing basis. You will have a dedicated consultant who will understand your needs and secure roles for you based on them. We have a refer friend scheme, so if you refer your friend to us, and they complete 6 months' work with Hays, you will get a £250 shopping voucher. Hays offers free training on our online portal, so you will be able to access that and develop your skills.
