About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist care for adults with a rare, genetically inherited skin fragility condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and provide specialist nursing advice and care to patients with EB.
  • Carry out specialist nursing procedures and provide clinical supervision to other staff and students.
  • Participate in case conferences and contribute to the coordination of ongoing care.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff within the clinical environment.
  • Support and enable patients and carers to make informed decisions about their treatment and management.
Person Specification
  • Demonstrate values and behaviours in line with Trust values and behaviours.
  • Hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of either dermatology, tissue viability, end of life care, management of long-term conditions, or community nursing.
  • Have experience managing patients with complex medical or life-limiting conditions.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
